Haiti - World Cup Turkey 2022 : Brilliant victory of the Amputated Grenadiers against Liberia [4-1] (Video) 02/10/2022 09:12:57
Saturday September 1st, as part of the 16th Edition of the Amputee Football World Cup Turkey 2022, our Grenadiers on the lawn of the Riva 1 sports center of the Turkish Football Federation in Istanbul, faced the "One Stars" of Liberia. For their opening match, our Grenadiers made a remarkable entrance by winning a resounding victory [4-1) against Liberia (African Cup finalist and holder of 3 titles). In the first period Saviola Charles opened the scoring in favor of Haiti at 13' [1-0]. Score unchanged at halftime. Returning from the locker room, Saviola Charles scored twice at 29' [2-0]. 5 minutes later John Spinoza sinks the score at 34' [3-0] and a minute later it's Redondo El Principe Richard at 35' which brings the score to [4-0]. Joé from Liberia saves the honor of his team by reducing the score to 50'+1 [4-1]. At no time Liberia disturbed our talented Grenadiers. With this victory, Haiti becomes leader of Group A, ahead of Turkey (host country) which crushed France [3-0]. The game takes place on a field of 60 meters by 40 (maximum 70 m X 60) or a classic football half-field. It has two goal cages with a maximum height of 2.2m, a width of 5m x 1m (depth) and a FIFA standard ball The match is played in 2 periods of 25 minutes with a half-time of about ten minutes. A timeout of two minutes is authorized per team and per game. The team is made up of 7 players (6 outfield players, a goalkeeper) and substitutes. Outfield players (excluding goalkeepers) must have a lower limb amputated. The goalkeeper must have an upper limb amputated, so a hand. Players cannot use their crutches and stump to handle the ball. If this happens, it's considered a "hand" unless it's unintentional. In addition, the use of the crutch against a player results in exclusion and a penalty.
